Event Description
In a post-disposable world, the concept of looking after things so that they last is making a welcome return. So what are the best ways to ensure the longest lifespan for ironwork? And how can we renew surfaces without causing irreversible damage to historic material?
This one-day seminar will give an overview of:
- Deterioration & Degeneration
- Treatment
- Coatings
- Maintenance
The event is aimed at anyone wanting to get a better understanding of the ironwork in their care. You can download the full programme here.
Course tutors: Andy Thearle; Geoff Wallis; Toby Petersen
The seminar will be held at the Guildhall in Bath and, weather permitting, will include a short walking tour of local ironwork.
