Craft & Conservation Talks

Event Description

Over the weekend at BathIRON, we have a really varied and interesting programme of talks by blacksmiths and conservators, all focused around ironwork.   Come along to the Council Chamber at the Guildhall and find out what it’s like in the workshop of a modern blacksmith, discover what’s involved in a major heritage restoration project, hear fascinating insights on inspiration and practice, as well as the challenging decisions on the front-line of conservation.  Featuring a guest appearance by Magister Walfrid Huber, the renowned Austrian blacksmith who recreated the extraordinarily intricate ironwork on the doors of Notre Dame, these talks are OPEN TO ALL.  Please come along!
