Adrian Legge, EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Adrian has been a working blacksmith for over 40 years and has been teaching at further and higher levels for more than 30 years, most recently as Senior Tutor at the National School of Blacksmithing at Herefordshire & Ludlow College. During that time he has become a qualified teacher, assessor and verifier as well as a qualification writer. As a liveryman and Fellow of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths, he sits on the company’s craft committee responsible for assessing practitioners for company awards. Adrian is chair of the Blacksmith Apprentice Employer Group with responsibility for drafting the new blacksmithing apprenticeship. As such he has a particular interest in the development of education within the craft, including the heritage sector. He is also a council/committee member for several blacksmith organisations including the NHIG.
